Hi!
could you please state the version of the squashTA serveur jour job is using, and your Squash TM version?
To see what version your job is using, you can open you pom.xml file and look for the version property of the following element:

org.squashtest.ta
squash-ta-maven-plugin

The SquashTM version should show i the installer file name, as well as in the Squsah TM adminnistration panel.

A few answers:
1 - yes, your Squash TA folder structure should be directly in the workspace. If you use a CMS, the job definition we provide, ajusted for your CMS configuration, should see to it
3 - you don't really need to solve this problem: you get get a look at that file through any text editor if you wish, but it is primarily meant for Squash TM
4 - the test list creation is performed by the Squash TA plugin, and normally triggered by Sqush TM as needed
