Same question : i can't install squash TA 1.9 with java 1.8. I have the error "Le répertoire choisi ne contient pas le produit requis" (The choising repository don't have the required product).
The installation work with jdk 1.7 but i have not x64 version => this causes other problems.... :(

Hello,

Squash-ta 1.9.0 has been tested with java 1.7 thus we can assure that it works properly with this java version. We have no guarantee that it is compatible with java 1.8 so we setted the installer to accept only java 1.7x.

Many users tested squash-ta 1.9.0 with java 1.8 and no issues have been reported.
So you can install squash using a java 1.7x and then use another java version :
- open the file $SQUASH-TA-TOOLBOX-HOME/scripts/env.cmd (or env.sh)
- change the variable JAVA_HOME -> "set JAVA_HOME=C:\Path\to\my\jdk1.8"

Regards,

Karim Drifi.
