Test Cases Report with Chinese Characters cannot displayed properly

Hi,

I have problem with test cases report.
I am using Squash TM 1.14.0.RELEASE.

When I am opening the test cases report, containing Traditional Chinese characters,
using Microsoft Word 2010, there are some Chinese words, which cannot be displayed properly.
I am wondering what's the problem. Is it related to encoding? Or is it related to my PC setting?

I've attached a screenshots for your reference.

Hi,

It might be related to the technology used to generate editable reports (docxtemplater).

These reports can also be generated in pdf format. I did a quick test, the chinese characters appear to be displayed properly.

You can download this plugin [url=http://repo.squashtest.org/distribution ... ELEASE.zip]here[/url].
To install it :

[li]Unzip the downloaded file[/li]
[li]Copy the .jar files in the 'plugins' directory of Squash TM[/li]
[li]Restart Squash TM[/li]

Hi,

Thanks for your help. The Chinese characters can be displayed
on the web page after installed the plugin.

[b][u]But it can not be displayed on the export file[/u].[/b]
All the Chinese characters are disappear. Do you have any ideas?

Hi,

It is probably the same issue.

The characters are properly displayed when you export the report as html though.
So what you can do is to export it as html and then save it (through 'Print') as pdf. It worked for me.
