Squash TM does not want to launch

I downloaded and used the Java installer package yesterday but Squash TM did not want to launch, it just stayed on the startup screen (Squash is starting, plese wait.)

Then I read that it is only compatible with Java 1.7. I uninstalled Java 8 and installed Java 7, then I uninstalled Squash TM as well and reinstalled it.

When I try to run it now, it still hangs on the launcher.

Please assist, I would love to try out the tool

Hi,

Message in console seems to be normal. Have you tried to access Squash URL in your browser ? (with your complete IP instead of localhost in squash URL).

Maybe you can also crash the felix-cache in squash folder and started squash TM again.

Other possibility, have you tried to define your 'JAVA_HOME' environement variable ?

Thanks for the reply.

I did actually manage to solve the problem. I followed all the steps that you mentioned, but in the end the problem was that I had installed Jira a week or so ago and it was running as a service on the same port. I stopped Jira and then Squash started up.

What version of Squash TM do you use actually ? What version of Java ? What kind of browser ?
Can you tell us or give us some screenshots of what you obtain when you try to launch Squash ?
